Client: Paddy Power
Project: Finders Keepers
Finders Keepers is a 1-hour cash drop which Paddy Power streams live online
through their social media platforms in the lead up to major sporting events throughout the year. With large amounts of cash to be won it can attract up to 80k viewers. Our brief was to create an experience that would entertain online viewers when they tuned into Finders Keepers in the run up to the 2019 US Masters.
We challenged three lucky punters to a spot of golf. Well, sort of. Working with
Rainforest Adventure Golf, challenging our inner Rory, we custom designed & built a unique Paddy Power course, where our brave competitors went head to head over some superbly named obstacles like the ‘Peep Hole’, ‘Fire in the Hole’ and the gloriously titled ‘Glory Hole’. Magnificent.
Watched by over 45,000 viewers, with €20,000 in prizes and a world of shame to walk away with, we made sure our competitors had the best of times.
Project: #TeamOfUs Walk Up
Vodafone’s sponsorship of the men’s Irish Rugby team is all about connecting players and supporters. We are all part of the #TeamofUs. The question we were asked was clear: how do we bring the ‘Team of Us’ platform to life in a meaningful way for customers on Match Day.
To bring supporters even closer to the team, we created the Vodafone Walk Up; an interactive walk-through installation, mimicking the backroom experience that players go through on match day. Positioned outside the Aviva stadium, we invited match goers to walk through a miniature Aviva stadium, where they would walk through the stadium as players would, seeing the dressing rooms with player jerseys hung up and ready for use. At the centre of the experience, we created an interactive digital screen and combined it with a touch sensitive mirror which allowed participants to create their own match day video which they could then personalise with their Name, County and Position.
To exit our installation, we built a 3D vista of the inside of the Aviva Stadium, laid artificial grass and piped soundbites of crowds cheering through our speakers. Based on the success of Walk Up; a smaller, easily portable version of the activation was built to activate on street on match days.
Project: Samsung UnBoxed
Let’s get digital.
The Samsung S8 is not any old phone. Light years ahead of anything its competitors, the S8 offers customers a revolutionary re-design of the Galaxy series with the biggest, most immersive screen on a smartphone of this size. Along with the built-in and (optional) 360 camera, the phone gave customers the most powerful & sophisticated smartphone camera option on the market. But how would we bring customers over from the dark side to try our product?
The proof is in the pudding and we knew we needed to enable our audience to experience the power of the phone for themselves. The S8 offers customers an amazing camera; and we needed to provide them with the most amazing photo opportunity. Go big or go home. We developed a 3-day activation where we transformed the Arnotts Rooftop Car park into the Samsung Unboxed Lounge.
A custom-built space, with each zone designed to showcase key features of the phone, we managed exclusive invite-only performances from some of Ireland’s most up-and-coming bands, allowed visitors to experience the phone’s powerful Virtual Reality offering in custom built VR chairs and use the phone to take 360° photos against the backdrop of Dublin’s skyline.
Samsung UnBoxed was a first of its kind in the Irish market.
