The challenge:
As the first-ever NFL season game in Ireland, Dublin became the stage for a global sporting spectacle. As worldwide partners of the NFL, Visa wanted to use this moment to demonstrate its leadership in secure, seamless payments — and showcase the benefits of Visa for fans and businesses alike.
Our brief was clear: link the power of the sport with the spectacle of the event in Dublin, while making Visa’s product story visible, tangible, and exciting.
The solution:
We worked directly with the NFL over a three-month period to develop and align the creative platform, ensuring it reflected both brands’ shared commitment to innovation and connection. Collaborating closely with Visa’s international media and PR partners we developed a fully connected campaign spanning digital, social, OOH, media specials, a large-scale projection takeover of Dublin’s Convention Centre, and a full stadium domination at Croke Park. Dublin became a living canvas for Visa’s message of secure, effortless payments — celebrating connection and commerce at every touchpoint.
As part of the wider program, we also delivered Visa Day at The Westbury — an exclusive partner and client event featuring key sessions and networking moments — and Vince Lombardi Trophy Day, where the iconic trophy was showcased in Dublin, adding an extra layer of excitement and prestige to Visa’s presence around the game.
And how did we do?
The results spoke for themselves: spending in Ireland rose 3% over the game weekend, with small businesses in Dublin seeing an 18% uplift in sales.
